Robert Lewandowski’s name has been linked to AC Milan this week, and a report has analysed the possibility of it happening.
As Calciomercato.com recall, in recent days there has been widespread speculation that Milan are exploring the idea of signing Lewandowski, whose future at Barcelona is more up in the air than ever despite the high level of performance he continues to deliver at the age of 37.

His contractual situation is starting to attract interest from various clubs, including Milan. Luka Modric’s arrival on a free transfer in the summer shows a desire to welcome top players regardless of age.
Current situation and salary obstacle
Lewandowski’s deal expires at the end of the season, and Fabrizio Romano also confirmed that a renewal with Barcelona is complicated. He said there is ‘over a 50% chance’ that the striker will leave the Blaugrana on a free transfer at the end of the season.
While it’s true, Matteo Moretto points out, that Milan’s salary cap will likely be raised, it should be remembered that the Pole’s salary would still have to fall within certain parameters, and given the figures in his contract with Barcelona this isn’t possible today.
According to Spanish reports, Lewandowski has a gross annual salary of around €33m at Barcelona, a figure that is way above what any Italian club can pay, especially considering he is 37 years old and will turn 38 next year.
Thoughts about the future, however, aren’t filling Lewandowski’s head right now. He’s focused on the pitch and on Barcelona, trying to repeat the extraordinary performances that have distinguished his career and that he also displayed last season.
The 2024-25 season ended with 42 goals in 52 appearances in all competitions and the start of 2025-26 was also positive for him: four goals in six appearances in LaLiga. He would make a big difference for Milan, but a lot would have to fall into place.

He was on progressive contract and was over 30million last year. Super tax in Spain is huge and he is on 13million net this year to take home. Also, turned down 100million a year deal from Saudis. He is currently worth 120-150 in personal wealth and in Poland they say this will depend if he wants to play every other game in Spain next year(he doesn’t care about the wage drop there) or he wants to be a star in Italy. His father’s dying wish was for him to play in Serie A. I am saying now that this will happen. Him and Ibra and Modric have respect for one another.
