CM: The truth regarding Milan’s interest in Scamacca including €25m opportunity

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan remain admirers of striker Gianluca Scamacca however a summer move seems difficult at the moment, according to a report.

Calciomercato.com confirm that Milan are looking for a centre-forward for next season and the identikit drawn up is that of a young player who can alternate with Olivier Giroud and then become the starter for the future.

There is a name that has been on Milan’s list for years and that is Gianluca Scamacca, who left Italy in the summer to go to West Ham where he scored seven goals but hasn’t seen the field in the Premier League since mid-January.

The Italy international recently separated from his agent and could soon choose the Stellar Group as his new representatives – who have Pierre Kalulu among their clients – and that could bring about some changes in the plans for his future.

Scamacca has been on Milan’s radar for some time and they had the opportunity to sign him two years ago for €25m when he was at Sassuolo. They did not strike then, and there has been no contact to bring him to the Rossoneri ahead of the summer.

West Ham paid €36m – a figure that can rise to €42m with bonuses – to sign him from the Neroverdi and they owe 10% of the proceeds from a possible future resale to them. That is why a figure of €40-45m is needed to bring him back to Serie A, which is why his return seems unlikely at the moment.

    1. for 25 mil i’d gladly take scamacca of west hams hands and we actually need more italian players in the squad. He did well for sasuolo and is young so i do think your predictions are a bit gloomy as i do believe he could have a fine career ahead of him he just need the right enviroment to excel.
