All that AC Milan can do has been done regarding Ardon Jashari, and the midfielder is waiting for the green light to leave.

After securing Samuele Ricci, the focus very quickly turned to wrapping up a deal for Jashari, who is the next top target for Milan. Of course, both discussions were taking place at the same time, but now, it is the sole focus of Igli Tare.

The sporting director wants to complete the midfield, and Jashari is seen as the final component to add to Allegri’s ranks. So, the Rossoneri have been persistent with their bids, attempting to finally land the final piece.

However, they have been rebuffed each time.

A stand-off

The final effort has now been made, with the Diavolo submitting their final bid to Club Brugge in the past few days. A deal worth almost €40 million, and imaginably enough to satisfy the Belgian outfit. It may not be, though.

Corriere dello Sport, via MilanNews, writes how the two clubs are in a ‘tug of war’ situation currently, even with Jashari pleading to his current club to accept the move for him to leave, which would be a record fee.

‘Jashari Mania’ is well underway, but the officialities are needed soon before it can truly begin.

      1. Do you understand what the word “context” mean. Every statement isn’t understood in black and white. Hope you’re not a robot…

      1. No. Reijnders is worth 70M including bonuses, whereas Milan sent an offer of 35M including bonuses for Jashari. There’s a difference of 35M

  1. This whole situation makes Rejinders deal look even worse. We are wresling with Brugge and will again pay the original price they wanted just like with De Ketelare. 40mil? After one good season in belgium ? How the fck then they were satisfied with 55mil for City for best midfielder of serie a?? I know bonuses pushes thst to 70 but still. They should have gotten 70mil strsight. Paying 40 for Jashari then would be ok

    1. Dude dont be over react. It is just 32m euro basic fee + add on 5-6m euro. While ACM sell tiji 55m euro basic fee + 15m euro add on. Why tiji add on must big because AZ alkmar have 10% from tiji sale

      1. So you are telling me that Rejinders is worth only 20mil more then a guy playing in Belgium league with 1 good season? Im not saying that Jashari isnt good, just saying that our side of buisness was awful. Just to remind- City payed 60mil for Nico Gonzalez that player 25 games for porto and scored 2 goals along with 3 assists. What were the stats of tiji in the last 2 seasons?

        1. Nico Gonzalez is 23 and Reijnders will be 27 when the season kicks off. You pay not just for performance but for potential. Reijnders is great but let’s be fair. He has only two seasons in a top 5 league to draw upon. Nico has been playing in a top 5 league since he was 20.

        2. Reijnders is almost 27. He has little sell on value. Jashiri and Nico Gonzalez are 23. Even if they flop, most of their fees will be recouped. Also, as others have explained, AZ got 10% from the sale, that’s why Milan structured the deal to be bonus heavy.

    2. In reality, we’ll be paying nearly double the annual cost of Reijnders for these two players (because Reijnders only had one salary and his amortisation cost was low) if it comes off.

In really simple terms though, that 20M difference between Reijnders and Jashari is the money paid to Torino for Ricci. And our biggest issue last year was trying to make a tired Fofana cover two or three players’ work in midfield, so I understand the idea.
