Atalanta centre-back Simon Kjaer has become a possible idea for AC Milan in view of the January mercato, according to a report.
Newspaper Tuttosport are claiming on Monday – via MilanNews.it – that the Rossoneri are now targeting Simon Kjaer, a central defender owned by Sevilla but currently on loan at Atalanta.
So far, the Danish international has amassed only five appearances and has failed to become an established starter under Gian Piero Gasperini. His agent has already communicated the player’s intention to switch teams in January.
According to the report, Milan are ready to make their move and could sanction the loan of Mattia Caldara to Atalanta as a counterpart if the right formula is found.
The Rossoneri believe a lot in the potential of the former Juventus man and do not want to sell him outright. Therefore, a loan exchange could be agreed on if the LaLiga side are happy to send Kjaer out to Serie A again.
