Tuttosport: Agent of Calhanoglu shoots high with salary demand – Inter involved in the mind games

It is set to be a tough negotiation for AC Milan if they are to secure the renewal of Hakan Calhanoglu, according to a report.

Time is of the essence as the Milan management must formulate an offer that can satisfy everyone, given that his current deal expires in June 2021.

According to the latest from Tuttosport (via MilanLive), Milan believe that Calhanoglu’s agent Gordon Stipic is going to be a tough negotiator in order to try and agree the best possible deal for his client who is going through a fantastic run of form.

Milan are certainly the priority for the player, but the demands of his agent are too high at the moment as he has asked for a pay rise from €2.5m net per season to €6.5m, which would put him up there with the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Gianluigi Donnarumma.

The feeling is that Stipic has shot high early on in order to be able to obtain a substantial increase, so a compromise could perhaps be reached at around the €5m mark.

In the meantime, the player has been offers to various clubs such as Inter, but this is simply to put pressure on the Rossoneri management to get the wheels moving.
