AC Milan have made Federico Chiesa their first choice target to reinforce the wing but they do have a back-up option, a report claims.
There has been an abundance of speculation over the last 24 hours suggesting Milan have not yet given up on the idea of signing Chiesa, weeks after they were first linked with a move for the 22-year-old.
SportMediaset (via MilanNews) went big on Tuesday by reporting that Milan have put forward an offer to Fiorentina for Chiesa, consisting of Lucas Paqueta (valued at €20-25m) plus €20m cash and another €10m bonuses, but this was denied by Viola president Rocco Commisso.
According to Tuttosport (via MilanNews), Chiesa is the first name on Milan’s list to reinforce the attacking department but getting to him will not be easy since Fiorentina, for the moment, are asking for €70m without any counterparts.
For this reason, the Rossoneri managers are also evaluating alternatives, such as Gerard Deulofeu, who has frequently offered himself to Milan where he would return very willingly.
