Tuttosport: Colombo could be set to stay at Milan due to lack of available targets

Lorenzo Colombo could be set to stay at AC Milan this summer despite seemingly being set to go out on loan once again, a report claims. 

As has been reported by Tuttosport (via Pianeta Milan), the Italian striker may get his chance to rack up some appearances in the Milan first team as there is little other option available to the Rossoneri.

Various attacking names have been linked with Milan throughout the summer, such as Romelu Lukaku, Armando Broja, Hugo Ekitike and more recently, Sardar Azmoun and Niclas Fullkrug.

With none of them seeming very easy for Milan to sign, Colombo cannot be allowed to leave the club on loan as Olivier Giroud would have too great a workload.

Should Milan make a breakthrough this week with one of those strikers, Monza would be the likely destination for Colombo.

Monza coach Raffaelle Palladino said to Sky Sport (via SempreMilan.it) after their match against Inter: “I like him [Colombo] a lot, he has great potential and characteristics that we need. It’s great if he comes, then the market is in [Adriano] Galliani’s hands and I’m calm about this”.

  1. I think Lukaku is actually a growing chance of coming here considering our close relations with Chelsea. And the fact they don’t want him there. I have issues about his attitude, but imagine what a slap in the face that’ll be to Inter and Juventus lmao.

      1. A dic*head, yet you proceed to name Mason Greenwood in a post below. Now I am not a prosecutor or a judge, but Greenwood has been in major legal trouble for the past year. Ask yourself why he his contract was rescinded from United this morning.

        The charges were only dropped when a key witness stopped cooperating with authorities. He’s not entirely clear of wrongdoing.

        Also lets just say he’s entirely innocent and look at his goal scoring record alone. It sucks. This is a guy who never scored more than 10 goals a season, and before the charges was often relegated to the bench.

  8. Big mistake leaving signing a striker until the last week of the window. Many opportunities existed all summer but waiting and waiting made us loose out. Management knew at beginning of summer they did not want Origi and banned him to the stands – at that point signing a #9 should have been a priority instead of spending most of our $$ on multiple midfielders (yet no registra). Now we are currently left with a green, unproven Columbo to backup a 37 yr old Giroud who has to play every 3 days???? Wow. Brilliant 🤡. Because we waited we have zero leverage negotiating with other teams and now will be forced to likely overpay or roll the dice and pray Giroud discovers the fountain of youth and can miraculously play every game without injury or fatigue and Columbo suddenly becomes the next Immobile LOL. Should be interesting😂
