Maurizio Sarri is one of the top candidates for the head coach position at AC Milan. According to a report, his candidacy would be further strtenghtened by the potential arrival of Tony D’Amico.
The Rossoneri CEO Giorgio Furlani has reportedly made D’Amico the top target for the sporting director role, not willing to give up despite Atalanta’s stance. With the Italian director, Sarri would likely arrive as the new head coach, according to Tuttosport (via Calciomercato.com).

There haven’t been any concrete or serious talks between Furlani and D’Amico yet, just very informal chats, but the latter has already brought forward Sarri’s profile for Atalanta as Gian Piero Gasperini’s replacement. If he were to move to Milan, therefore, he could take his plans with him.
We reported a few weeks back that Sarri is one of the top targets for the Milan job, especially if Igli Tare were to arrive, as the two have a very good relationship. Of course, with D’Amico, Sarri would also make sense as he knows a thing or two about making the most of talented players.
Full focus is on the upcoming derby, though, as was also highlighted by Carlo Pellegatti earlier today. No concrete updates are expected before then.

Why change coaches. We seen it with Chelsea & Man U. Changing coaches doesn’t work. Keep faith in SC. It the players that needs an attitude change. Why is Pavlovic, Pulisic & Reijnders playing their hearts out and fighting their socks off each game but the others can’t. They are all professionals and should not be tutored on how to fight for the badge.
Oke Sarri to Atalanta and then Gasperini go to Milan. Logically choices
I’ll take Sarri ten times over Allegri. At least we’ll play a decent type of game with him at the helm.
Okay D’Amico’s out then…
Doubt he was ever “in”
Probably not – I meant for me 😅
