Tuttosport: Deal for Chelsea midfielder still locked as Milan stand firm with €20m bid

By Oliver Fisher -

The deal to bring Tiemoue Bakayoko back to AC Milan from Chelsea is currently on standby, according to a report.

Tuttosport (via MilanLive) are claiming that the Frenchman is pushing to return to Milan and has already said yes to the Rossoneri’s contract offer, with just a deal between the two clubs standing in the way of a dream return.

However, at the moment Chelsea have not yet lowered their claims, nor tried to meet Milan in the middle on the figure of the option to buy that would be inserted into the loan deal.

The Rossoneri are hoping that Bakayoko will kick up a fuss and convince the Blues to accept Milan’s offer of a paid loan and an option to buy set at €20m.

The issue will probably be discussed again at the end of the transfer market, unless the Milan management turns to other targets to complete the midfield, with Florentino Luis and Boubakary Soumaré valid alternatives.
