Having completed the signing of Alvaro Morata from Atletico Madrid, AC Milan are free to search the market for another striker with less urgency and to find the right opportunity, which could be Niclas Fullkrug.
According to Tuttosport (via MilanNews), Milan are now ‘toying with the idea’ of completing the centre-forward department with another addition. They are looking for a striker with different characteristics than the Spaniard, and for someone who can complement him.
In this sense, the name at the top of the list is Fullkrug, the 31-year-old who scored 16 goals for Dortmund last season having been the top scorer in the Bundesliga with Werder Bremen the season before that.
The Rossoneri remain vigilant and attentive on the German who could push to leave BVB after just a single season. The Bundesliga side signed Serhou Guirassy from Stuttgart and it is likely that he will be the starter.
For this reason Fullkrug would be willing to make another move, even to Italy. If he were to arrive, the paths of Milan and Luka Jovic could separate even though he recently renewed.
Dortmund coach Nuri Sahin spoke exclusively to dotsport.it about the fact there are four strikers in the squad at the moment, stating: “I can’t imagine facing next season with 4 strikers, they are objectively too many and it could create management problems.”

I don’t get the obsession with Fulkrug. He’s over thirty and had two notable seasons in his entire career. Him getting time over younger talent like Okafor or Jovic who already played well off the bench and will not need to adjust to Serie A is so shortsighted.
We need a striker who is ready. We’ve already got Camarda in the pipeline so the future is his.
There are two already on the roster who excelled at being deputy to Giroud.
Excelled seems like a bit of a stretch. Fullkrug would raise the goal to slap ratio.

Then we’ll wonder why it takes months for players to integrate and gel. In that time, Merda and Jube are 10 points clear.

Can anyone point to a time when signing more than one striker in one transfer window has actually worked out for one or more of them?
Because we’ve been through about 20 strikers in 10 years and the only ones that actually worked out were Ibra (only striker signed that window) and Giroud (only striker signed that window).
Carlos Bacca & Luiz Adriano. Bacca was Milan best scorer that season and (still) is the only one scoring over 20 goals since Zlatan’s first visit. Not saying the Brazilian was any good but you asked one or more and Bacca did well.
