Fode Ballo-Toure is expected to leave AC Milan this summer after two subpar seasons with the Rossoneri. He’s not lacking suitors, though, and thus his transfer is expected to materalise very soon.
The left-back arrived in a €5.4m deal from Monaco in the summer of 2021, brought in as the new deputy of Theo Hernandez. Since then, he has made just 26 appearances for Milan, failing to grab a single assist albeit scoring one goal.
Ballo-Toure is now keen on revitalising his career and for that, he needs consistent playing time. An exit is thus on the cards and as reported by Tuttosport (via SempreMilan.it), the two possible destinations are Bologna and Nice.
Milan are most likely willing to accept a figure around €4m as they at least wouldn’t make a capital loss on the player. It remains to be seen if the Rossoneri will bring in a replacement, but one would assume they will.
Maybe we can sign one of those Italian players we were linked with. Like Augello or Gallo.
Wasn’t Augello just sold somewhere?
I thought he was about to go but we were haggling for like a 1-2mil. difference?
Use him to lower Dominguez’s price to about 12m (currently 17m according to Transfermarkt). Then forget about Musah and use some of the money saved to get a new backup for Theo and throw the rest back into the transfer pot for a striker and/or RW.
@Vero Rossonero
Bingo. 🇦🇷Dominguez is less “marketable” than 🇺🇸 Musah but his attributes suit, he’ll do the ugly things that a DM needs to. We have too many box to box mfs.
I like the American and would rather we signed him instead of 🏴 RLC but there you go…
