Tuttosport: From Wolves and Inter links to becoming unsellable – Kessie set for a quiet summer

By Oliver Fisher -

Franck Kessie has just finished his third season with Milan, but for the first time he will experience a quiet transfer window, a report claims.

According to Tuttosport (via MilanNews), the Ivorian has found himself at the centre of a lot of speculation in recent windows regarding a possible exit. This time, however, things will be different, because he has become unsellable.

Alongside Ismael Bennacer, Kessie has become a crucial cog of Stefano Pioli’s midfield system, forming an excellent double pivot with the Algerian that protects the back four.

The 23-year-old has finally returned to the levels we saw at Atalanta and the hope is that he has definitely made that leap in quality that the management had been waiting for.

The paper adds how it is basically the first time since he has been at Milan that he is not on the list of possible exits (aside from maybe the first winter).

In January, for example, he ended up in the crosshairs of Inter, while last summer he seemed destined to move to Wolverhampton.
