Tuttosport: Gazidis reassures Rangnick over transfer budget in latest round of talks

By Oliver Fisher -

There have been fresh talks between CEO Ivan Gazidis and Ralf Rangnick regarding a potential role at Milan, according to a report.

There are conflicting reports in the media regarding Rangnick and whether or not he will start a new adventure in Italy ahead of next season, with some outlets claiming he will take over as head coach and sporting director of the Rossoneri.

However, both Sky and Bild in Germany believe that talks have been held but were not successful and as such Rangnick has rejected the idea of joining Milan.

Il Corriere dello Sport reported earlier on Wednesday that the German has a number of concerns about taking the reins at Milan, one of which is regarding the budget he will have available to revamp the current squad.

However, according to reports from the Wednesday edition of Tuttosport (via MilanNews), there have been new contacts between Gazidis and Ralf Rangnick in the last few days.

Gazidis moved to reassure the 61-year-old regarding the funds at his disposal for the summer transfer window, the paper claims.
