Head coach Stefano Pioli will soon be able to welcome Olivier Giroud into his ranks, and the striker is charged up ready for a new adventure.
The Frenchman is ready to try and take Milan by storm and he will do it with the number nine jersey on his shoulders. While it has been spoken about as ‘cursed’, Giroud is a champion of Europe with Chelsea and a World Cup winner with his country, so the curse does not exist to him.
As reported by Tuttosport (via MilanNews), Giroud will present himself today at Milanello to officially begin his adventure with the Rossoneri despite that fact Pioli has granted the team a rest day. The former Chelsea man will have plenty of chance to show his ability from day one as Zlatan Ibrahimovic is out injured at the moment.
Zlatan remains the undisputed leader of this Milan side, but if there is a player in the locker room who will not have to feel small next to the Swedish god, it is Giroud. The management are confident that they have found the right man to play with Ibra; an experienced player, but physically healthy and ready to accept a role as a deputy. He will, of course, get plenty of minutes.
