Tuttosport: Giroud unlikely to be the only striker to sign for Milan this summer – the latest

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan could enter the market for a new striker if Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s injury proves to be more complicated than first thought, a report claims.

The newspaper Tuttosport (via MilanLive) explains that Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara still have the idea of signing a third striker who would be a young profile to grow behind veteran duo Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Olivier Giroud, who is close to joining.

However, there is still the possibility that the Swedish striker will have to remain sidelined for a long time and everything will depend on the outcome of the exams that Ibra will carry out at the end of the month. Milan are hoping that everything will go well and there is still some time before the start of the season, but preseason starts on 8 July.

If Ibrahimovic were to be out for a long time, the Milan management could think of an investment in a striker who can give more guarantees than a raw young profile. Maldini and Massara plan to close the Giroud operation regardless of other situations.
