Tuttosport: Ibrahimovic 501 – he responds to critics and with him Milan can really dream

By Oliver Fisher -

Zlatan Ibrahimovic responded to any remaining doubters in the best possible way on Sunday, scoring a brace to set Milan on their way to a 4-0 win.

As Tuttosport writers (via MilanNews), some remakred after his missed penalty against Bologna that the altercation with Lukaku in the derby had taken away calmness and tranquility from Ibrahimovic, but the Swede proved otherwise yesterday against Crotone in the best way: by scoring goals.

The number 11 netted twice thus climbing to 501 club career goals, and after the game he reflected on such an achievement in his typical matter of fact way: “I am happy for this goal, it means that I have scored a few goals in my career. My job is to score and create the situations to score goals. I have to help the team and when I do it obviously I’m satisfied.”

Yesterday, the Swede amassed his sixth brace in the current league season and matched Lukaku as top scorer with 14 goals, but having played nine fewer games.

Zlatan has therefore exceeded 500 goals with clubs and to celebrate this milestone he has posted a photo on social media that portrays him driving a custom-built car and the words “towards the goal”. Obviously, Ibra talks about the Scudetto, a goal that seemed impossible at the beginning of the season, but now is becoming something more than a simple dream.
