Our feature last night outlined Ibrahimovic’s responsibilities of being the glue between the squad and the management as well as a ‘super consultant’ for Gerry Cardinale and the ownership group RedBird Capital.
One of the subjects that has been discussed is whether Ibra will have any say in the mercato regarding the players that are signed and sold, something which Tuttosport (via Radio Rossonera) discussed.
The paper states that Zlatan’s comeback ‘will slightly reduce Giorgio Furlani’s powers in the sporting area’. He will be a leader of the dressing room again, capable of putting things right in difficult moments, but he will not have overlapping responsibilities with Stefano Pioli who remains the number one.
The Swede will have the task of having his say on mercato strategies and on some guidelines to follow for the development of the youth sector. He will not only be a manager in this sense, but also an advisor with regards to the project.
In fact, the 42-year-old already has some areas in mind to explore for the upcoming transfer windows, from Brazil to the Netherlands, passing through his native Scandinavia.
