Tuttosport: Ibrahimovic’s festival appearance divides opinion – the plans for an unusual week

By Oliver Fisher -

Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s appearance at the Sanremo Festival during a crucial stage of the season continues to divide opinion amongst fans and the media.

There are still two weeks left until the Swede will appear Sanremo from March 2 until March 6, but the argument continues to rage on as Tuttosport (via MilanNews) reports this morning.

The paper writs how in the last hours two important people in the past and current history of Milan have ended up divided over the participation of Zlatan at the festival. Fabio Capello criticised both the choice of the player and the decision of the club, while the president Paolo Scaroni reassured everyone by focusing on Ibra’s professionalism.

The striker is set to move to the Sanremo area and train there with a coach that Milan will send, returning to the San Siro for the match against Udinese on Wednesday 3 March, while he will join his team-mates then in Verona for the match against Hellas Verona on Sunday 7. It will be an unusual week, without a doubt.
