Tuttosport: Inter join Man Utd in race for Milan star but swap deal involving Juventus is possible

By Oliver Fisher -

There are four clubs interested in signing AC Milan playmaker Hakan Calhanoglu on a free transfer, according to a report.

Milan have allowed Calhanoglu to run down his contract, which is set to expire in June 2021, meaning they need to quickly reach an agreement over a renewal or accept the fact he may strike an deal with another club and leave on a free transfer.

According to the latest from Tuttosport (via MilanLive), Milan’s two biggest rivals in Inter and Juventus are ready to tempt the Turkey international by tabling an offer. Both Antonio Conte and Andrea Pirlo are big fans of the player, and would be more than happy to welcome him into their plans.

The Nerazzurri may sell Christian Eriksen in January and replace him with Calhanoglu, and an offer could be sent to Milan in January to try and beat the competition, while a possible swap deal with Juventus involving Federico Bernardeschi could come back into fashion.

Overseas, clubs like Atletico Madrid and Manchester United have already put the former Leverkusen star in their sights, but Milan are determined to try and find a breakthrough in talks over a renewal.
