Simon Kjaer is looking forward to making his return for AC Milan and he should feature in some friendlies before the season begins, a report claims.
Tuttosport (via PianetaMilan) reports that Kjaer has been training with the rest of the squad under the orders of Stefano Pioli since the first day of preseason at Milanello, after a long absence due to requiring surgery on the cruciate ligaments of his knee.
Kjaer has done every bit of preparations with his team-mates except for the preseason opener against ASD Lemine Almenno and the first friendly of the season against FC Köln. The former Roma and Palermo defender will also miss the game on Saturday evening against Zalaegerszegi TE in Hungary.
After the second international friendly, Milan will have a mini retreat from 23-27 July in Villach, Austria, to prepare for the third match against Wolfsberger in Klagenfurt. This should be the game that we see Kjaer back on the field.
