AC Milan are giving consideration to the possibility of sending Rafael Leao out on loan in the summer, according to a report.
As Tuttosport writes (via CM.it), Leao’s season continues with ups and downs with the Milan shirt. After the goal against Parma to make it 3-1 he followed it up with another fairly anonymous and blunt display against Genoa on Sunday, even though Milan did get the win.
The 21-year-old has shown some important qualities and a lot of potential since arriving from Lille in summer 2019, but has never managed to give consistency to his performances. Thus, if things do not change suddenly, the paper claims that the Milan management could choose to act.
Maldini and Massara will therefore look at his performances with renewed attention between now and the end of the season and although at the moment it is a remote hypothesis, Leao could be sent on loan to a Serie A club to find more playing time in the right position to help realise his potential.
