Tuttosport: Maldini and Massara looking for a ‘Mr. X’ for the attack

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are on the hunt for a new player for the attacking department who can cover two roles, according to a report.

According to the latest from Tuttosport (via NotizieMilan), Milan’s management are looking for a player who knows how to act as a winger and as playmaker, so as to have two positions covered with one acquisition.

The title of the story is ‘Hunt for Mister X’, given that a name is not yet obvious, but what is clear is that directors Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara are after a flexible player who can strengthen the attacking department.

In recent weeks Hakim Ziyech of Chelsea was followed but the most important thing is that the player is available immediately to help the cause, and the former Ajax man is expected to be out for some time after suffering a shoulder injury during the Supercup final against Villarreal.

  1. Why are they trying to get Zyiech when I am reading that Bernardo Silva will leave City and the price could be around 30M? I’m sure Milan could pay 10M for a loan and another 20-30M for transfer of a player like that. RW sorted. Get Vlasic on the same deal and that is a top team.

    1. I believe that milan has no intention to sign ziyech permanently, just loan him cos dealing with Chelsea never be easy. Signing Bernardo Silva has an obstacle that is his salary and this milan seems like the others American team with salary cap implemented.

  2. Zyiech is to expensive for our budget. He will not come. There is a lot of players available why keep talking about rumours about a player there is fare from reality.

  3. Why not also add that Mr X will have long black hair as stated by Galiani????

Milan ended up with Aquilani as Mr X in that mercato
