Tuttosport: Mandzukic and Bennacer to miss Roma clash – when the pair will return

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are hoping to have Ismael Bennacer and Mario Mandzukic back soon but they will both miss this weekend’s game, a report claims.

Tuttosport (via MilanLive) talks about the physical state of the two aforementioned Rossoneri players, confirming that Bennacer has fatigue in his thigh flexor, while Mandzukic has suffered from muscle hardening.

There is nothing serious to worry about concerning the pair, but they are very likely to miss Sunday’s away trip to Roma, even if the medical staff have already established a plan for their return.

Bennacer and Mandzukic should be called up for Milan-Udinese next Wednesday, with the possibility of playing a segment of the match. Even if one or both are not risked in that game, they will 100% be back for the next match after that, the one that Milan will play against Hellas Verona on Sunday 7 March.

In the meantime, they will continue with the personalised sessions at least until the weekend, and then will rejoin the group, but their respective athletic and physical conditions will be monitored to avoid yet another relapse.
