Tuttosport: Midfield shake-up on the cards for Milan in game against Sampdoria

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli could choose to drop Franck Kessie for Monday’s game against Sampdoria at San Siro, a report claims.

Milan will be looking to bounce back after being demolished 5-0 by Lombardy neighbours Atalanta on Sunday to ensure that the team would not have a happy Christmas.

Alejandro Gomez, Josip Ilicic (2), Mario Pasalic and Robin Gosens all netted for La Dea to ensure that the Rossoneri start 2020 in the bottom half of the Serie A standings.

Pioli’s men welcome Sampdoria to the San Siro on January 6, a side who have just about hauled themselves out of the bottom three after a poor start to the season.

According to Tuttosport – as cited by MilanNews.it – Pioli could give Radu Krunic a chance in the midfield against the Blucerchiati due to Kessie’s recent inconsistency.

The Bosnian could support Ismael Bennacer and Giacomo Bonaventura in the middle of the field, replacing the Ivorian as the RCM.
