AC Milan consider goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma to be fundamental for the present and for the future, and they will look to solve his renewal as soon as possible.
As Tuttosport reports on Thursday (via MilanLive), the Rossoneri management know how important Donnarumma is to their project moving forward and as such they are desperate to lock down the man they see as the captain of the future.
Currently the Italy international is the vice-captain to Alessio Romagnoli, which makes the statement from Tuttosport quite an interesting one. When the former Roma defender was out over the past few months, it was Gigio who wore the armband and he showed himself to be a vocal leader of the team despite being just 21.
Milan will have to discuss Romagnoli’s future with his agent Mino Raiola given that he has a contract that expires in June 2022, and that will be a very difficult negotiation too as will the Donnarumma one.
