Tuttosport: Milan battling Inter for 24-year-old Torino defender who could replace Romagnoli

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have added a new centre-back to their list of targets as the future of Alessio Romagnoli continues to be uncertain, a report claims.

This morning’s edition of Tuttosport (via PianetaMilan) writes that Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara are working to strengthen the team and are looking at potential areas they might have to address, including a potential replacement for Romagnoli.

The club captain has a contract expiring in June and a renewal at this point in time seems more unlikely than likely as relations with his agent Mino Raiola are not the best, so a new signing would be needed that can alternate with starters Simon Kjaer and Fikayo Tomori.

The paper claims that Torino’s Gleison Bremer is a target for Milan but also for Simone Inzaghi’s Inter. The Brazilian has a contract expiring in 2023 and therefore Torino president Urbano Cairo wants to try and get him to extend his deal, but is aware that bigger clubs have taken note.
