Tuttosport: Milan step up pursuit of Chelsea outcast Ziyech as lawyer is called in

By Isak Möller -

Hakim Ziyech has been on AC Milan’s radar since the summer and it seems a move could materialise in January. However, the biggest obstacle remains the salary of the player, something the Rossoneri are working on.

Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara want to give Stefano Pioli a couple of reinforcements ahead of the second half of the season. Ziyech is one of them and he seems keen on leaving Chelsea, with the latter open to an exit as well.

According to Tuttosport (via MilanNews), Milan will most likely try to bring him in on a loan with an option to buy in January. The salary remains an issue, though, as Ziyech currently earns €6m per year at Chelsea.

Since it would be a loan, an agreement would have to be reached on the €3m that must be paid in salary to Ziyech during the six months. Milan, therefore, have called the Belgian lawyer Sebastien Ledure, who was the protagonist in the negotiation that brought Romelu Lukaku back to Inter.
