While AC Milan have been left waiting regarding the renewal of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, important steps have been taken regarding Tiemoue Bakayoko’s return.
According to Monday’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanNews), the Frenchman is increasingly close to returning to Milan as in the last few hours talks with Chelsea have intensified even more.
The agreement between Milan and the player has been present for some time, but now an agreement with the Blues is just a step away as they are now willing to accept the formula of a paid loan with option to buy.
The deal is destined to go through and the white smoke could arrive in the next few days. While the amount of the paid loan and the option are still unknown, the paper predicts it will be around €30m.
The Milan management hope they can quickly close this operation so as to give Stefano Pioli another “starter” in the middle of the field.
The feeling is that Bakayoko can adapt well to play alongside both Ismael Bennacer and Franck Kessie.
