AC Milan are seriously considering a move for Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah this month but they could still make a bid for Stade Brest’s Lilian Brassier.
As has been reported by Tuttosport (via Milan News), Milan could try and use the same transfer formula that they used to sign Fikayo Tomori from Chelsea, a move that proved to be extremely successful.
Chalobah could end up signing for Milan on loan this month with the Rososneri having an option to sign him permanently at the end of the season for a previously agreed fee.
Milan and Chelsea currently enjoy very good relations, with players like Christian Pulisic and Ruben Loftus-Cheek having recently made the same move that Chalobah might.
Chalobah is not playing regularly for Chelsea, but this is partly because he just returned from a knee injury, something Milan must be wary of.
Were Milan to decide against a move for Chalobah, there is still the option of Brassier at Stade Brest. He may cost €10-12m which Milan think is too much.
If it became clear that he is the only option towards the end of the window, then Milan may decide to take the risk and pay for a permanent deal.

And yet during the Scudetto year our defense was incredibly reliant…. So….. yeah. Defense wins championships.
Defense absolutely wins titles and big ones ! But I don’t think the more defenders the better.
Including defenders who should come back from injuries we have Kjaer, Tomori, Thiaw, Gabbia, Simic, Kalulu, Pellegrino?, Theo can play as a CB and think even Terracciano can play as a CB and most of them showed that they can be pretty impressive on good days. That’s already MANY central defenders even if we switch to a 3 men defense. And defense is mostly about less rotation to have good chemistry.
This guy is not better then Gabbia, I don’t know why the need to mop up dead woods

If you count Theo we currently have 4 fit centre back options and in a month it will be 6. Top side we have 24 games left this season and 17 of those, realistically, are about consolidating a comfortable 3rd place.
We don’t need a centre back this desperately. Focus on Buongiorno in the summer instead.

What you guys don’t notice is Chalobah can also play RB. He is similar to Kalulu. I think in summer we might sell Kalulu if Chalobah works out. Also it is a loan with obligation to buy like Tomori, so less risky than paying for a permanent transfer then it doesn’t work out. And we might still get a striker or Dmf with that money left in this transfer window. I love this transfer just by thinking about how Tomori’s situation was at Chelsea before he moved to Milan and look how well it worked out for us.
