Tuttosport: Milan could still reunite with Watford star this summer – the situation

By Isak Möller -

Gerard Delufeou remains on the radar of Milan. The Spaniard, who had a six-month spell at the club back in 2017, is keen on making a return and the possibility is still alive, a report claims.

According to today’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanNews.it), taking stock of the Rossoneri’s transfer strategy, Deulofeu is still a possibility. Just like Tiemoiue Bakayoko, who is closing in on a move from Chelsea, the winger would be a returnee.

The 26-year-old wants to leave Watford, who were relegated to the Championship, ahead of next season and his Serie A experience could come in handy. That being said, Milan are very focused on other targets for the time being.

As reported by Fabrizio Romano, they are working on Tiemoue Bakayoko, Sandro Tonali and Brahim Diaz. The latter’s arrival could inevitably rule out a return of Deulofeu, considering that they play in the same position (the right-wing).

Well even though both deulofeu and diaz can overlap each other on the right wing or for that matter the left but neither of them has that position as their preferred one. Brahim CAM and deulofeu has the left wing as his preferred position. Either way doubt deulofeu is even an option right now unless he was super cheap and are willing to take a cut in his current salary.
At this point i’d prefer us to keep our right backs and see how they fare with kalulu potentially usurping a starter along the way and then sell players like laxalt, krunic+ combined with the cash we have saved on salaries and then invest the remaining transferfunds we might have left after hopefully finalizing tonali/bakayoko deals and go full in for chiesa. A team with those 3 additions would be able to challenge for the scudetto atleast if the squad stays injury free.

D energy we’re putting in tonali deal who definitely can’t b a stater due to d performance of kessie and bennecer I’d prefer we invest such amount to some who can start and be an upgrade player like cheisa or depay for d right wing pogbeba, Bakayoko and krunic can b a backup to d midfield let see hw it pans out until January if there is a need to intervene in d market definitely we can do that bt spending huge sum on player who will nt b a stater I don’t see that as wise spending no matter who we bring as midfielder kessie and bennacer have cement that sport.

I don”t want poor Delofeu back at Milan, but we still need right winger or attacking midfielder who can play at right, left and middle in case Hakan”s injury or otherwise upgrade our creativity in final third! So creative midfielder should be our priority, and world class of that, and Zaniolo is perfect signing for that hole! He can score a lot of goals, and be crucial player for us for years to come!
