Tuttosport: Milan could target a striker in January – Benfica and River Plate duo on four-man list

AC Milan are on the lookout for a striker and have a number of different names on their radar at the moment, according to a report.

Given that Zlatan Ibrahimovic is 40 years of age and Olivier Giroud is 35 and neither have offered the right guarantees so far from a physical point of view, while Pietro Pellegri has also made zero impact since his summer arrival, rumours continue to swirl suggesting that Milan are looking to sign a new striker.

This morning’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanNews) confirms that in January Milan could turn to the market to strengthen the attacking department. If positive responses from Ibra arrive in the coming months, then the Rossoneri could also continue with him, Giroud and Pellegri until the end of the season, plus the wild card of Ante Rebic.

However if he continues to suffer injury problems then Andrea Belotti of Torino and Julian Alvarez of River Plate are being targeted, as are Lorenzo Lucca of Pisa and Darwin Nunez from Benfica.

  1. I think Belotti and Alvarez is the best combo out the four options. Giving Belotti would be a free transfer, his arrival shouldn’t exclude that of Lucca, Nuñez or Álvarez. The problem with Nuñez is that he’s too expensive.
