The arrival of Ruben Loftus-Cheek will not be the last signing that AC Milan make for the midfield, with two more players reportedly being targeted.
According to Tuttosport (via MilanNews), Milan believe that Loftus-Cheek will add some height and muscle to a midfield that struggled without Franck Kessie last season, but now they need some ‘quality and dynamism’.
AZ Alkmaar’s Tijani Reijnders is high on their list, with the request from the Dutch club currently around €18m, but Milan will still try to lower the demands and close the deal for a better price than that.
Then there is Valencia’s Yunus Musah. Milan have already informed the LaLiga club of their willingness to enter into negotiations for the American international, also playing on their economic difficulties to lower the player’s price.
Currently Valencia want between €25-30m to sell but their tough financial situation could see that go down. There is also a third solution: Nicolas Dominguez of Bologna. His cost is not high – around €10m – given his deal expires in a year.
Nicolas Dominguez is better than both and has a Italian citizenship.
If Milan plays with 3 man midfield, it would be nice if we can sign Samuelle Ricci to play the regista role.
None of these guys that they are targeting are good in the defensive phase, except for Dominguez.
Ricci and Rovella are nice options from the Italian midfielders.
Rovella is probably Juventus best midfielder and they sent him on loan while they were paying Pogba and Paredes enormous salaries.
Ricci and rovela wonderful players after barela that two are the best midfielders in serie a
If Dominguez for 10m was halfway realistic he should surely be the top name on the list.
I suspect they’ll ask for 20m though.
Musah would be exciting too, bit unknown but potential to grow.
Would be happy to see Orsolini replace either of our current right wingers too.
