Tuttosport: Why Milan are watching closely as demand for Frosinone star grows

By Euan Burns -

AC Milan are keeping a close eye on developments at Frosinone as former player Marco Brescianini could be set to make another move.

As reported by Tuttosport (via Radio Rossonera), there is a line of clubs forming for the Italian midfielder who has had a really impressive first full season in Serie A.

Frosinone are still firmly in the relegation battle but are one of the favourites to avoid an immediate return to Serie B, and Brescianini is a big part of why as his versatility has been very important.

The 24-year-old is a Milan academy product who joined Frosinone last summer. He recently joked that he will play in goal soon after appearing in multiple positions throughout the season.

“I’m a fairly flexible player. I hope to improve further in a lot of aspects. I’ve been at full-back, a midfielder, I always try to adapt and try to be useful. Next week, I’ll go in goal,” he joked to Sky Sport Italia.

The biggest club to have shown interest in Brescianini is Juventus, who came close to signing him in the winter transfer window.

The reason Milan are watching this news closely is that they have a 50% resale clause, meaning they get half of whatever fee Frosinone get for the player.

Juventus are not the only Serie A team in the frame, with Bologna, Atalanta, and Napoli all showing interest.
