Goalkeeper Pepe Reina will only remain at AC Milan beyond the summer if he is guaranteed a spot as a starter, according to a report.
The Spaniard left on loan in January, choosing to return to the Premier League by joining relegation battlers Aston Villa. Since that move there has been plenty of speculation regarding his future, with several reports suggesting it does not lay at San Siro.
According to what Tuttosport are reporting on Friday (via MilanNews), Reina went on dry loan to Aston Villa in the most recent window and therefore will return to Milan at the end of this season.
However, the paper adds that the former Liverpool stopper will remain with the Rossoneri only if he were to become a starter, which of course would likely be dependant on whether or not Gianluigi Donnarumma is sold and whether a new keeper were to be bought.
