Tuttosport: Milan hoping to sell winger and fund move for €17m-rated Bundesliga forward

By Oliver Fisher -

Reports continue to filter suggesting that RB Leipzig’s Marcel Sabitzer is AC Milan’s number one target for the attacking midfield role.

As reported this morning by Tuttosport (via MilanNews), Sabitzer’s name is beginning to gather steam as a potential replacement for Hakan Calhanoglu, who left the Rossoneri to join city rivals Inter.

Sabitzer’s contractual situation does not allow the Bundesliga side to ask for a big amount, so around €17-20m could be enough to seal the deal, but Milan need a sale before incurring an expense of this type and for this reason they are trying to offload Jens Petter Hauge for €12-13m.

Milan must therefore wait and cannot immediately go for the Austria international, but even then they are still hoping for a discount from RB Leipzig. Sabitzer is not the only option though as Milan continue keep an eye on other attacking midfielders such as Philippe Coutinho, Dusan Tadic, Dani Ceballos, Hakim Ziyech and Isco.
