Tuttosport: Milan in talks with Calhanoglu over four-year contract extension with pay rise

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are working on giving midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu a new contract that would see him commit to the club long-term, according to a report.

The Turkey international is currently on a deal which runs until June 2021, meaning the Rossoneri must look to secure his future one way or another before the resumption of the new season.

Up until the new year it looked as though Calhanoglu would be allowed to leave, but he became a crucial cog of the Milan machine after lockdown amassing six goals and eight assists in that period.

According to Tuttosport on Wednesday (via MilanNews), Milan are also working on Calhanoglu’s renewal as well as Gianluigi Donnarumma and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

The player’s agent Gordon Stipic has been talking about it for some time with the Milan management, and the parties are in fact working on an extension until 2025 with an increase in salary to €3m per year net plus bonuses.
