Tuttosport: Milan left with a dilemma as Real Betis go quiet on winger who wants to stay

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have been left with an issue to resolve as Real Betis have not followed up their interest in Samu Castillejo, according to a report.

This morning’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanNews) writes that Betis have expressed an interest in signing Castillejo, but it is merely that and has not turned into concrete negotiations over the winger.

The Spaniard is not part of Milan’s plans and their hope is to sell him during the summer mercato to raise cash. However, for his part, the 26-year-old Spaniard would like to stay with the Rossoneri into next season.

It means that it may become difficult for Milan to offload Castillejo after a season in which he had more bad performances than good, and it may also affect the club’s plans for the right wing spot as potential purchases would surely be dependant on him leaving, even if only for a few million.

  1. Ofcourse he wants to stay when Pioli gave him 5x more playing time than he deserves, he litteraly showed nothing he still played some minutes in almost every match. Why he didnt try Hauge on rigt wing, or at least Olzer who has big potential as they say. This guy should have been on bench for most of time so he would go now and doesnt have desire to stay. He is bought without plan anyway, i remember they took him just to get rid of Bacca because Montela didnt want him in team,he wanted his lover boy Kalinic.

  2. As i always said, no one is interested in him but Pioli. I don’t mind which players milan will get, i am only excited to wait for him to leave.. as long as he and Krunic are still in the team, we will never go anywhere in any competition

  3. No team in europe willing to spend their budget only for 2 scumbags such as castillejo and krunic. And pioli does love them….
