Tuttosport: Milan make huge call on attacking department ahead of the summer window

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan do not have any interest in signing a striker in the upcoming summer transfer window, according to a report.

There has been an abundance of speculation in the media suggesting that the Rossoneri are in the market for a young striker who could be the deputy to Zlatan Ibrahimovic, with the Swede widely tipped to sign a new deal and remain beyond the summer.

However, according to Tuesday’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanNews), Milan at the moment do not seem willing to sign a centre-forward to support Ibrahimovic.

Obviously, the matter would change if the 38-year-old does not renew, but it seems as though the management are happy to focus on other areas that are more in need of investment, such as the right-back and central midfield positions.

This likely means that Rafael Leao and Ante Rebic will continue to be the deputy to Ibrahimovic, who will definitely need some rest periods given the compact nature of the 2020-21 schedule.
