AC Milan have missed out on Borussia Dortmund midfielder Vasco Walz who has chosen to renew his contract and stay in Germany, a report claims.
The 16-year-old is currently under contract until the end of the season and could leave Dortmund, with Milan sniffing an opportunity to bolster their youth ranks. Predominantly a central midfielder, the teenager has played for Germany at U17 level.
MilanNews reported last month how a meeting was planned between the Milan management and that Walz’s agent – Hector Peris – who would arrive in Italy in the coming weeks to try to a the definitive agreement over his transfer. However, it seems to have not been very fruitful.
As reported this morning by today’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanNews), the German central midfielder has in fact renewed his contract with Borussia Dortmund until 30 June 2023, which puts an end to any possibility of him moving to Italy in the upcoming summer window.
Good choice!
