AC Milan are expected to make quite a few changes to their squad this summer and with Brahim Diaz now set to leave, a lot of focus will be on the attacking trio. However, one signing doesn’t depend on the Spaniard.
Diaz started the season as an attacking midfielder but switched to the right flank in the second half of the season. Therefore, this summer, Milan intend to bring in a right-winger (if it’s indeed true that Real Madrid will keep Diaz).
As explained by today’s edition of Tuttosport (via SempreMilan), Empoli youngster Tommaso Baldanzi has been linked with Milan. However, the 20-year-old would not arrive to replace Diaz but instead Charles De Keteleare.
Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara believe that a right-winger is more important in the event of Diaz’s exit. Baldanzi would likely not become a concrete target for Milan, therefore, unless a good offer arrives for De Ketelaere.
Diaz played as RW only in a handful of games, mostly when Pioli’s other lover Messias was injured. I don’t think anyone at Milan sees him as a RW.
As for the Baldanzi rumours, these are just made up stories by the italian papers. They like to boost italian players, that’s it.
Also regarding Messias, I see that he’s on everyone list of players who will leave Milan this summer. But based on what?
Even when Pioli changed the system, he played Messias as a CM (against Inter), then as a RWB when he was still playing with a back 3. Then he played him as a RW every time he was fit, regardless of his poor form.
In my opinion Milan are not even looking for a RW at all. Pioli already has his man.
messias will stay for another season. im sure of that. his contract is till 2024 and there is no point in selling a 32 yo for capital, hed fetch a couple million at most.
Baldanzi wont come, Milan dont need another 20yo talent
Just put CDK at RW, he is not AM, his heatmap at 2021/2022 shows that he didn’t put heat mark at the middle, the heat mark are on flanks! He is wide playmaker, not trequarista.
For CDK to be tried in a new position under Pioli someone else in that position needs to get injured. Cause thats the only time when Pioli tries playeres in different positions. Basicly out of necessity.
For right winger, i like Angelo Gabriel from Santos. He is great player, fenomenal for his age.
I put riko simanjuntak from persija – indonesia for milan RW. Hes phenomenal.
he might be a technically gifted player or have great speed or something and truth be told ive never heard of him or seen him in action before so had to do a bit of homework here but i can see he is 1.58 tall and never had any experiences outside the indonesian league , pretty sure he would get mauled in serie a and besides of that he is 31 years old and only has 11 caps for his international team indonesia.
Doesnt sound like a remotely good idea to aquirre him but what do i know,
I had watch his match but he is nowhere near Milan level.
