Tuttosport: Milan open talks over permanent Rebic deal – why Fiorentina are taking interest

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have already started contacts with Eintracht Frankfurt to discuss the purchase of Ante Rebic, a report claims, with Fiorentina watching on closely.

After a difficult start to life at Milan up until Christmas, the Croatia international has exploded since the turn of the year, netting six goals in all competitions including three match winning goals in Serie A.

As a result, multiple reports are claiming that the Rossoneri understandably want to turn Rebic’s two-year loan at San Siro into something more permanent.

According to the latest from Tuttosport – as cited by MilanLive – Milan have begun talks with the Bundesliga side over a potential deal, and Fiorentina is very interested in the talks as they will earn 50% of the agreed amount.

La Viola sold Rebic to Frankfurt in the summer of 2018 for about €2million and had a clause included in the agreement that allowed him to collect half of the amount of the future resale.

Therefore, if Eintracht sells the 26-year-old for €25-30million, Fiorentina will stand to make more than €10m+.

In the meantime, if André Silva scores enough between now and the end of the season then the idea of a swap deal cannot be ruled out either.
