AC Milan had to wait until the second half to open the scoring against Atalanta, but ended up sealing a massive 2-0 win that means the Scudetto is just one more point away.
This morning’s edition of Tuttosport has their player ratings, starting with Mike Maignan who received a 7 out of 10 for his efforts in goal. Davide Calabria got a 6, while centre-back pairing Pierre Kalulu and Fikayo Tomori both got a 7.
Theo Hernandez – the author of an amazing solo goal – got a 7.5 plus the title of MOTM. Franck Kessie received a score of 7 while his midfield partner Sandro Tonali got a 6. Alexis Saelemaekers received the same score, Rade Krunic got a 6.5, Rafael Leao got a 6.5 and Olivier Giroud got a 6.
Junior Messias (6), Ante Rebic (6.5) and Ismael Bennacer (7) each made their contributions off the bench, with the Brazilian winger even setting up the opener. Finally, Pioli got a 7 for making the right changes at the right times again.
These ratings are ridiculous. Basically everyone got almost the same rating.
Kalulu and Tomori deserve a 9 each and Theo deserves 8 or 8.5.
Kessie also deserves much better.
Calabria should have a 5. He was terrible for the second stripaight match.
