Tuttosport: Milan player ratings for Slavia Praha win – several positive scores

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan secured their passage into the final eight of the Europa League by beating Slavia Praha 3-1 last night, which meant a 7-3 aggregate victory.

Just like in that game at San Siro, a red card for Slavia inside the opening half an hour was the turning point and what followed was three first half goals for Milan from Christian Pulisic, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Rafael Leao to effectively kill the tie.

This morning’s edition of Tuttosport (via SempreMilan.it) has their ratings from the game, starting with Stefano Pioli’s management which earned him a score of 7 out of 10.

Moving onto the rearguard, Mike Maignan was given a 6.5 for making a vital stop before being forced off with an injury, while Matteo Gabbia and Theo Hernandez got the same score. Davide Calabria and Fikayo Tomori each got a 6.

Yacine Adli (6) and Yunus Musah (6.5) were the duo tasked with holding down the midfield and controlling the tempo, which they did well at times, while Ruben Loftus-Cheek (7) got another goal in the attacking midfield role.

Christian Pulisic and Rafael Leao were the two who stood out above all in the Milan ranks as each received a 7.5 for getting a goal and an assist each, while Olivier Giroud was quieter and was handed a 6.

Marco Sportiello, Pierre Kalulu and Malick Thiaw all received a 6 off the bench, while Samu Chuwkueze got a 5.5.
