Tuttosport: Milan player ratings against Tottenham – Kjaer and Thiaw lead the way

By Euan Burns -

The plaudits for AC Milan’s defenders keep on coming following the 1-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur on Tuesday night which gives the Rossoneri a great chance of getting into the Champions League quarter-finals.

There were plenty of good ratings from Tuttosport (as seen below) but it was the likes of Simon Kjaer (7.5), Malick Thiaw (7), and Theo Hernandez (7) who led the way.

Further up the pitch, Brahim Diaz (7) impressed and scored the only goal of the game whilst Sandro Tonali (6.5) and Rade Krunich (6.5) were solid in the middle of the park.

The front line were not at their scintillating best with Rafael Leao (6) tailing off after a strong start and Olivier Giroud (6.5) failing to find the back of the net, but the job was done nonetheless.

Very solid performances were put in by the likes of Pierre Kalulu (6.5) and Alexis Saelemaekers (6.5) whilst Ciprian Tatarusanu had a fairly uneventful evening (6).

Milan could have added another goal thanks to Stefano Pioli’s (7) changes.
