Tuttosport: Milan player ratings for Chelsea loss – attack struggles but defence holds up

By Oliver Fisher -

A number of AC Milan players struggled after the red card and penalty in the 18th minute that ultimately decided the outcome of the 2-0 loss to Chelsea.

This morning’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanPosts) has ratings for the game at San Siro yesterday evening, starting with goalkeeper Ciprian Tatarusanu who did well to keep the goals against to two and got a 6 out of 10.

Pierre Kalulu can also hold his head high as he got a 6, as did Matteo Gabbia who had to adapt to a changing defence around him. Fikayo Tomori was given a 4 for being part of the game-changing moment, with Theo Hernandez getting a 5.

Ismael Bennacer received a score of 6 out of 10, with Brahim Diaz getting the same grade and Sandro Tonali getting a 6.5. Rade Krunic and Rafael Leao each got a 5.5, while Olivier Giroud was given a 5.

Tommaso Pobega (6), Segino Dest (6) and Ante Rebic (5.5) were the only players to be graded for their contributions off the bench.

  1. How does Tomoro get a 4 for doing nothing wrong but be a victim of trash tier refereeing, as far as I’m concerned the entire team is 10/10 for putting up with that farce of a match. Every time we made a challenge our player got a yellow card for nothing, that ref completely lost the match and this is not the 1st time it has happened to us, UEFA are a disgrace
