Tuttosport: Milan ready to lock down Calhanoglu – contract duration and salary outlined

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are putting a lot of focus on renewals as well as the transfer market this summer, a report claims, with Hakan Calhanoglu also set to sign a new deal.

According to Thursday’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanLive), the priority was given to Zlatan Ibrahimovic, and then it will also be necessary to talk about Gianluigi Donnarumma.

However, Calhanoglu also has a contract which is set to expire in 2021, and technical director Paolo Maldini announced during Tuesday’s press conference at Milanello that he will meet with the agent of the Turket international at the beginning of September to negotiate and reach an agreement as soon as possible

Calhanoglu wants to stay and has given his priority to Milan, despite having other offers from abroad. The paper adds that the new agreement will run until June 2024 with a salary that will go from the current €2.5million net per season to €3m plus bonuses.

The parties have had more contacts in recent weeks and the meeting should only serve to settle some details before signing.
