One of the names that keeps being linked with a move to AC Milan is Nicolas Dominguez, and he remains a very concrete options.
According to Tuttosport (via SempreMilan.it), the idea of signing Dominguez as gaining momentum among the Milan management. Contrary to what was thought in the recent past, he would not be an alternative to Tijjani Reijnders but a complimentary profile.
Ismael Bennacer’s injury and the probable transition to a 4-3-3 formation next season requires Milan to have to increase the number of midfielders in the squad.
Reijnders and Dominguez would thus be starter and reserve in the No.6 role that Pioli is envisioning, sitting at the base of the midfield to break up play and distribute.
Dominguez is valued at €17m even though he has a contract expiring in 2024 with Bologna, which is why his name is linked with several clubs in addition to Milan, one of which is Fiorentina.
