Tuttosport: Milan see Fiorentina star Chiesa as perfect signing – talks could begin soon

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan consider Fiorentina winger Federico Chiesa to be the perfect reinforcement for the attacking department this summer, a report claims.

The Rossoneri are expected to be active in the upcoming transfer window as Maldini and sporting director Ricky Massara look to give head coach Stefano Pioli a few pieces to complete the core of the squad that he has built.

According to a report from Tuttosport (via MilanLive), Milan are focusing on securing the renewal of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, but that does not mean they have stopped thinking about other forwards who could arrive.

The perfect identikit is that of Chiesa, a young player with big potential perfect for the 4-2-3-1 that Pioli uses. No major investment will be made for another centre-forward, so the Rossoneri are aiming to find the right men for the three who will play behind the Swede.

Ante Rebic and Rafael Leao will also be able to act as deputies for the Swede in addition to being able to play on the left.

For the moment there is still no real dialogue with Fiorentina for Chiesa, but in the coming weeks – once the Ibra question has been resolved – Milan may decide to start contacts.

According to Fiorentina.it meanwhile, La Viola would rather sell abroad with Manchester United interested in the €60m-rated 22-year-old.
