Tuttosport: Milan set for transfer battle with Chelsea over 103-goal striker available for €40-50m

AC Milan are interested in signing Andrea Belotti from Torino in the upcoming summer window but they are certainly not the only club, a report claims.

Belotti – who has hit double figures in league goals in his last six seasons – is under contract with Torino until 2022 and with no reports of an imminent renewal, it has led to intense speculation that he could be sold this summer.

According to this morning’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanLive), Belotti seems to have made his decision: he will reject any offers for a renewal and will leave the Granata at the end of the season.

Milan have been interested in landing the Italy international since the summer of 2017, but the demands of Torino president Urban Cairo closed the door. It is difficult to make an estimate of the price that Torino could ask for, but the paper hypothesises that it could be around €40-50m.

Tuttosport goes on to report that Belotti’s name also ended up in Chelsea’s notebook as the London club will try to please new head coach Thomas Tuchel with a new striker to replace Olivier Giroud, who looks destined to leave.

A duel between the Rossoneri and the Blues is therefore expected if the departure of the il Gallo becomes a reality after 103 goals and 25 assists in 218 appearances for Torino across all competitions.
