Tuttosport: Milan still pondering move for 80-goal winger available in cut-price deal

AC Milan are still considering the potential of a bargain move for Florian Thauvin but could also be brave and try bide their time, a report claims.

MilanNews reported on Tuesday night that the agent of Thauvin has offered the right-winger to Milan in recent days. Marseille are asking for €15m to part ways with their star, whose contract will expire next summer.

Tuttosport then added that the player intends not to renew his contract and instead wants to change club, with directors Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara having held talks with his entourage to scope out a move.

According to Friday’s edition of the same paper (via MilanNews), Milan are continuing to keep Thauvin under observation. The player, whose deal expires in June 2021, could be secured on a free transfer for next season from January onwards.

They could also hold their pursuit until the winter window, when the Ligue 1 club will be satisfied with a lower figure than the €15m requested a few days ago.

Thauvin has scored 80 goals and added 54 assists in 242 appearances for Marseille in all competitions.
